Idaho State University's Holt Arena not only is the home of Bengal football and track and field events, but it also has played host to Pocatello's high-profile high-school matches.

But this morning's Idaho State Journal reports that the high schols are facing their own fiscal cliff because of how much it costs to rent the arena—$2,000 per game. Additionally, ISU runs all of the concessions at the arena, keeping all of that revenue as well.

“I’m frustrated,” Century High School Athletic Director Steve Anderson told the Journal. “We’re supposed to make money to fund other sports with football, and we just aren’t.”

High-school officials are also complaining that their fans usually have to pay higher admission than any similar high school in Idaho.

"We're losing a lot of money that we should be able to bring into our school," said Highland High School Athletic Director Travis Bell. "Others, like in Idaho Falls, are making about $10,000 a game."

Meanwhile, Pocatello high schools are considering the possibility of renovating nearby Hawthorne Statdium to have a place of their own, but the renovation could cost approximately $650,000, according to the Tribune.
