UPDATE: Second Bomb Threat Called in to Ada County Courthouse

UPDATE 12:45 p.m.

Ada County Sheriff's Office spokesperson Andrea Dearden said that soon after activity resumed at the Ada County Courthouse following a bomb threat, a second threat was made by phone to a courthouse employee.

According to Dearden:

"Because of the security measure taken immediately following the first phone call, no additional action was taken. Business continued as usual. There is nothing to indicate any threat in or around the courthouse."

Detectives are developing a suspect description and information about the calls, which are expected to be made public by Thursday afternoon.

Ada County Sheriff's deputies, Boise Police and K-9s responded to a bomb threat that was called into the Ada County Courthouse this morning just before 9 a.m.

Law enforcement secured the area, halting all in-and-out movement until deputies could determine the validity of the threat.

Ada County Sheriff's Office Spokeswoman Andrea Dearden said detection K-9s searched the building but found nothing suspicious. All activity in and around the courthouse resumed at approximately 10:30 a.m. The investigation into the incident continues.

Meanwhile, law enforcement continues to investigate Wednesday's bomb threat to the Idaho Lottery office on Shoreline Boulevard. Nothing suspicious was found at the scene.
