Overnight Boise Accident Results in Pedestrian Death

Boise Police continue to investigate an overnight accident that resulted in the death of a pedestrian at 36th and Anderson streets.

Police were called to the scene of a crash at approximately 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. Witnesses told police that an adult male was beginning to cross the road but was not in a crosswalk at the time of the accident. A vehicle traveling south on 36th Street struck the pedestrian as he was crossing 36th from west to east. Witnesses said the intersection was dark at the time of the incident.

The victim was rushed to a local hospital but died several hours later.

The identity of the victim has not yet been released by the Ada County Coroner's Office.

No citations have been issued by the police department.
