David Echevarria, 49, is charged with trafficking meth, probation violation, marijuana possession and driving without privileges.

Boise Police say a traffic stop landed a Boise man behind bars on charges of drug trafficking.

Police said they observed a speeding vehicle April 10 near Chinden Blvd. and Glenwood St. A check through Boise City Records indicated that the suspect was currently suspended from driving and there was a current warrant for his arrest on probation violation charges. A Boise Police K-9 also alerted officers that the vehicle had a likely presence of drugs. A subsequent search revealed methamphetamine and marijuana.

49-year-old David Echevarria was charged with a felony count of trafficking meth, possession of marijuana, driving without privileges and violating his probation.

Brandon Evarts, 27, is charged with heroin possession.

Boise Police also report that they took a suspect into custody on April 10 in the wake of a previous search of the suspect's apartment that resulted in the discovery of heroin.

27-year-old Brandon Evarts of Boise was charged with a felony count of possession of a controlled substance.
