Body Of Man Recovered From Eagle Pond

UPDATE:

A man found drowned in an Eagle pond overnight was identified Monday afternoon as 74-year-old Alfred Winter of West Whiff Drive, Eagle.

The Ada County Coroner's Office said Witner had accidentally drowned after he went missing from his home Sunday evening.

ORIGINAL POST:

The coroner was called to the scene early this morning after Ada County Sheriff's deputies found the body of an elderly man in a pond near Eagle.

The man was reported missing by family members from his home on West Whiff Drive just before midnight Sunday. Deputies found the man later in the pond, near his home. Efforts to revive him were not successful. Law enforcement said there didn't appear to be any sign of foul play.

The Ada County Coroner's Office will determine the cause and manner of death and is expected to identify the man sometime today.
