Raft and Tube Rentals Available Friday, Boise River Open For Business

Posted By on Tue, Jun 11, 2013 at 9:22 AM

It's official.

Epley's Boise River Rental will officially open Friday, June 14. And while residents are welcome to float the Boise River on their own prior to the rental service opening, when Epley's opens it doors, the unofficial floating season begins.

Ada County officials caution that the river is "cold and swift, and can be dangerous if people are not adequately prepared and exercising caution," including the wearing of a personal flotation device. Floaters are reminded that they should use designated take-out locations in Ann Morrison Park and that they not attempt to continue beyond that point.

The Boise Fire Department has been busy removing debris from the river and officials wanted to wait until temperatures and water levels were optimal before opening Epley's.
