Two DUI Arrests in Two Days For Boise Woman

Lyndsi Peterson, 22, is charged with two DUIs.

A Boise woman was booked into the Ada County Jail two times in as many days after being arrested for DUI in each instance.

Boise Police said they were flagged down by a citizen June 22 on the 8100 block of Fairview Avenue. That's where they found 21-year-old Lyndsi Peterson sitting in the driver's seat of a car with the engine running. Officers said her speech was slurred and had a hard time understanding what the police were asking of her. She failed a series of sobriety tests. She was booked into the Ada County lockup on a misdemeanor charge of DUI.

But after bonding out, Peterson was found the next evening, again sitting in a car with the engine running. This time the car had a flat front tire. Police said Peterson failed several field sobriety tests and was booked into the jail on a second misdemeanor DUI charge.

In both instances, Boise Police called in a Drug Recognition Expert to conduct an evaluation to see if she was under the influence of a drug. The investigation led officers to believe the woman was under the influence of a depressant.

Peterson has since bonded out of jail a second time.
