Some verbal fireworks erupted in on West Main Street overnight as Boise Police responded to a report of a fight involving several people outside of a bar. Witnesses told police that a suspect punched one man and struck another in the head. Witnesses said the suspect continued to punch and kick one of the victims, even after he had dropped to the pavement. Police believe alcohol was a factor in the incident.

Police also report that they received a citizen tip of a possible drunk driver on the 4700 block of West McMillan Road. When police stopped the vehicle, the driver failed several field sobriety tests. A check through Boise City Records indicated the suspect had multiple prior convictions for DUI, making the latest charge a felony.
