Three Weekend Emergencies on Area Waterways

Posted By on Mon, Jul 22, 2013 at 9:34 AM

One day after a young man drowned while boogie boarding in the Boise River, two more incidents triggered emergency responses on the region's waterways.

In the Magic Valley, an unidentified 42-year-old man is in critical condition after being pulled from Dierkes Lake in Twin Falls July 21. Search and Rescue teams administered CPR on the victim and rushed him to St. Luke's Magic Valley Medical Center.

In Southwest Idaho, the search continues for a 28-year-old man last seen swimming in the Snake River near Payette. The Payette Fire Department, Malheur County Search and Rescue, and the Payette County Sheriff's Office have been unable to locate the man's body after spending all of July 21 searching the river.
