Admission of Pimping Prostitutes in Boise Nets 10 Year Prison Sentence

Antonio Jones, 32, was sentenced to 10 years in prison for procurement of prostitution.

A California man has been sentenced to 10 years behind bars for bringing a woman to Boise for prostitution. The suspect was arrested by Boise Police at a local motel last April and was sentenced by Fourth District Judge Mike Wetherell Aug. 8.

Working with the Boise Police Department's Retail Organized Crime Unit and Gant Unit, officers arrested the suspect after they they found evidence that the suspect had come to Idaho from California. Several other people were cited for prostitution.

Police cited three people on misdemeanor prostitution charges in connection with the case—Albert E. Garner, 31, of Sacramento, Calif.; Christie M. Norwood, 33, of Los Angeles; and Mariah N. Edwards, 20, of Citrus Heights, Calif.

32-year-old Antonio Jones of Oakland, Calif., pleaded guilty to a felony charge of procurement of prostitution and was sentenced to 10 years in prison, two-and-a-half years fixed.
