Boise Police Hand Out Flurry of Underage Drinking Citations

In a pre-back to school alcohol compliance check, Boise Police working a so-called "party patrol" handed out 30 drinking citations at several parties full of underage drinkers.

Boise Police Alcohol Enforcement Officers conducted the enforcement Aug. 18, including alcohol compliance checks at establishments that serve alcohol, a so-called "shoulder tap" operation to check on adults who would purchase alcohol for minors and "party patrol" operations.

In all, 30 underage drinking citations were handed out.

Additionally, Boise Police issued:
-Eight citations to adults providing alcohol to minors
-Six citations for open container violations
-One violation of a bar open after hours
-One business selling alcohol without a license
-One drug charge
-One violation of providing false information to police
-One arrested for an unrelated outstanding warrant
