Police Blotter: Distribution of heroin, grand theft

The BANDIT (Boise Area Narcotics and Drug Interdiction) Task Force investigates illegal drug sales and trafficking, as well as gambling and prostitution. 

Yesterday evening, officers with BANDIT arrested Brando M. John McDonough, 20, of Eagle for possibly selling heroin on more than one occasion over the last four months around Boise. Booked for delivery of a controlled substance, a felony, the investigation is still ongoing and further charges may arise, police said.

  • Sylvie, E. Mason, 39, of Boise was arrested on a report of theft at a retail store.

Sylvia E. Mason, 39, of Boise, was also arrested yesterday morning on a report of theft at a retail store on the 8100 block of West Fairview. Store managers told police that the suspect, an employee, had been stealing money from the cash register over the last month.

Police say the suspect had taken more than $700 in cash from the store over the last four weeks and stole from the store on three occasions in the same day. She is being held on felony grand-theft charges.
