Fulcher Begins 'Listening Tour' In Run-Up to Gubernatorial Campaign

Posted By on Mon, Oct 28, 2013 at 10:33 AM

Russ Fulcher will need to do some fast listening today.

Less than ten days after indicating that he had his eye on the governor's office, the Meridian GOP Senator is on what he calls a "listening tour," beginning today as he explores a bid to challenge Idaho Governor C.L. "Butch" Otter. Fulcher promised to hold two weeks of meetings with Idaho citizens.

But his schedule for today and tomorrow has Fulcher spending a lot more time in a car than listening to voters.

Fulcher was expected to be at the Syringa Networks Building in Idaho Falls at 9 a.m., a grocery store in Rigby by 10:30 a.m., the public library in Rexburg at 1:30 p.m., Blackfoot City Hall by 3 p.m. and a restaurant in Pocatello by 5 p.m.

Fulcher's schedule for Tuesday, Oct. 19, places him in Burley, Twin Falls, Gooding and Mountain Home.
