Six Idahoans Headed for Sochi

And now there are six.

The number of Idahoans headed to Sochi, Russia, to represent the United States at the Winter Olympic Games has grown by two—and more could be on the way.

Only 15 days remain until competition begins Thursday, Feb. 6.

Here are the Gem State athletes who have already been named to Team USA:

Nick Cunningham (Boise State student) — Bobsled — Competition begins Sunday, Feb. 16

Kaitlyn Farrington (Bellevue native) — Snowboard Halfpipe — Competition begins Monday, Feb. 10

Nate Holland (Sandpoint native) — Snowboardcross — Competition begin Monday, Feb. 17

Jessika Jensen (Rigby resident) — Slopestyle — Competition begins Thursday, Feb. 6

Hilary Knight (Sun Valley) — Women's Hockey — Competition begins Saturday, Feb. 8

Sara Studebaker (Boise native) — Biathlon — Competition begins Sunday, Feb. 9
