Press: 'Chaos' at North Idaho GOP Committee Meeting

Chaos has reportedly become the norm rather than the exception at North Idaho Republican Central Committee meetings.

This morning's Coeur d'Alene Press reports that the Feb. 25 Kootenai County Republican Committee meeting was barely gaveled into session before "it devolved into utter chaos." Things went sour shortly after one committee member, Kellie Palm, asked to amend the minutes to include previous remarks made by Chairman Neil Oliver, saying the committee "should have nothing to hide."

"Kellie, here we go again, you have to push it," Oliver responded. "There is no reason to talk about hiding anything."

The Press reports that an argument erupted over the minutes, followed by an argument over the treasurer's report, with Palm calling for a full audit of the books.

"You will suck out every penny you have in this organization," said Committeewoman Tina Jacobson, arguing against the audit.

"We are wasting our time and we are getting absolutely nothing done," said Jacobson. "We might as well disband and go home."
