Shirleyanne Fisher, 27, walked away from the East Boise Community Work Center.

An Idaho Department of Correction inmate, who had spent the past two weeks on the lam after walking away from the East Boise Community Work Center, was recaptured early today at the downtown Boise bus terminal. Law enforcement said the woman was taken into custody after she returned to Boise on a bus from Salt Lake City.

Shirleyanne Fisher, 27, was serving a two- to five-year sentence for possession of a controlled substance when she went missing Feb. 21. She had been scheduled to be released from custody on Aug. 31, 2014.

IDOC worked with the Boise Police Department to find Fisher and take her back into custody.

She now faces possible additional charges relating to her escape.
