Paul Rocchio, 50, is charged with enticing children over the Internet

A coach of the Boise State men's lacrosse team—a club sport—is behind bars, facing a felony charge of enticing children over the Internet.

Paul Rocchio, 50, was taken into custody by Meridian Police in the afternoon hours of March 7. Law enforcement allege that Rocchio had been trolling the Internet, contacting someone who he thought was a girl under the age of 16. Meridian police say Rocchio allegedly agreed to meet with the girl, but the rendezvous turned out to be with an undercover police officer who arrested Rocchio in Meridian's Settler's Park.

According to the lacrosse team's website, Rocchio has been co-head coach of the Boise State men's lacrosse team since 2010.

A number of law enforcement agencies worked on the case, including the Meridian Police Department, the Ada County Sheriff's Office and the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
