UPDATE: Bloody Car Seat Leads to Discovery of Body of Man in Boise Parking Lot

UPDATE: March 24, 2014 1 p.m.

As the investigation continues into the death of a man, found bloodied outside of a West Halstead Lane apartment complex, Boise Police said Monday afternoon that there was no threat to public safety in connection with the incident. Following an autopsy conducted by the Ada County Coroner's Office, Boise Police Detectives said they don't not believe there any danger to the public connected to the case.

The man, in his 50s, was discovered by a passerby after she saw blood on the seat of a car with an open door. The man's body was a short distance from the car.

Boise Police detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man, whose body was found Saturday night in a Boise parking lot.

Law enforcement were summoned to an apartment complex on the 10000 block of West Halstead Lane, northwest of North Five Mile Road and West Fairveiw Avenue. That's where the body of a man, believed to be in his 50s, was found. by a woman. The woman told police that when she noticed a nearby car's door was ajar, she looked inside and saw blood on the front seat of the car. The man's body was found on the ground a short distance away.

The man 's identity still hasn't been released.
