Boise Police Charge Suspects With Knife-Wielding Attempted Motorcyle Theft and Prescription Forgery

Boise Police say they had to track down a motorcycle theft suspect who allegedly threatened his victim with a knife before charging the suspect with three felonies.

Police were called to a report of a theft in progress in the area of West State and North 13th streets Thursday night. That's where witnesses gave police a description of a man who reportedly had just tried to steal a motorcycle. But when the motorcycle owner approached the suspect, witnesses said the suspect pulled out a large knife and tried to attack the victim. Eventually, the suspect abandoned the motorcycle and walked away. But police spotted the suspect a short time later near South 16th and Grove streets.

George Hasty, 29, of Grandview is charged with felony counts of robbery, aggravated assault and attempted grand theft.




Jordan Grainger, 24, is charged with burglary and attempting to obtained a controlled substance by fraud.

Boise Police said they were also called to a North Boise pharmacy Thursday, when a pharmacist reported a many trying to get Oxycodone with an allegedly fake prescription.
