Police Blotter: Battery on a Police Officer, Prostitution and a Knife Fight

A Boise woman is behind bars, charged with battery on a police officer, following a disturbance at a local eatery.

Boise Police say they were called out to a Boise restaurant just after 2 a.m. July 30 near West Emerald and North Milwaukee streets. That's where police say they found a woman under the influence of an unknown substance and unable to safely care for herself. While receiving medical attention from paramedics, the suspect reportedly kicked an officer in the face, and later grabbed an officer's baton, trying to hit a security employee at a local hospital.

After she received treatment at the hospital, 19-year-old Claudia Ceron of Boise was charged with felony battery on an officer and a felony charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Boise police also report that they were called to the 2700 block of Airport Way in the morning hours of July 29. That's when police say they arrested a woman who told police she had come to Boise with another woman for the purposes of engaging in prostitution. Police said the suspect had taken all of the money earned by the prostitute.

Ellante Williams, 27, of Portland, Ore., was booked into the Ada County lockup on two felony counts of accepting the earnings of a prostitute and interstate trafficking in prostitution.

Boise Police also report that they responded to a call of a fight at a Boise apartment in the early morning of July 28. After speaking with several witnesses, police said a fight had broken out between two people, with one of the participants being cut while trying to take a knife away from the other participant.

Zeyad Alkarawi, 23, of Boise was charged with a felony count of aggravated battery and a felony count of aggravated assault.
