Cause Still Undetermined in Idaho Theme Park Fire

Posted By on Tue, Aug 26, 2014 at 8:56 AM

State fire marshals are combing through the ash of a fire that triggered an evacuation of the Silverwood Theme Park on Sunday.

KREM-TV reports that the fire destroyed a bathroom building. Thus far, investigators have ruled out an electrical problem, and they're considering other possibilities such as arson or an accidental spark.

The blaze closed down the Boulder Beach water attractions for about two hours. When the park reopened, four attractions remained closed.

One visitor was transported to the Kootenai Health Medical Center due to smoke inhalation.

Fire crews from Timberlake and Northern Lakes assisted in dousing the flames.
