The Ada County Sheriff's Office is searching for a woman who has been using credit cards stolen in the last month.

The cards were stolen during burglaries of opportunity. The first theft occurred Sept. 22, when a resident of the Eagle Road/Beacon Hill neighborhood left the door of her truck unlocked. After returning to her car the next morning, she discovered her wallet was missing.

The second break-in took place Oct. 1, when a purse was stolen from a car parked in an open garage in the Floating Feather Road/Ballantyne Lane neighborhood.

The most recent theft happened Oct. 7. That's when someone broke into an unlocked car in the Island Woods subdivision west of Eagle and stole a backpack containing credit cards.

All three crimes appear to be opportunistic, and the Ada County Sheriff's Office is warning people to lock their cars and never leave purses, wallets or credit cards in automobiles, regardless of whether they're locked or unlocked. Anyone with information about the crimes or the suspect (pictured at right) is asked to call Detective Cherie Tucker at 208-577-3744.
