POTUS Promotes Small Business Saturday, Buys Tony Doerr's Bestseller

There are book awards and bestseller lists, but when the president of the United States purchases your book during the most publicized shopping trip in the nation, an author is the beneficiary of a pretty big media splash. And indeed, the cameras were rolling Saturday as President Barack Obama, who made a Christmas shopping trip to Politics and Prose, a D.C. independent book store, purchased a stack of books including Boise author Anthony Doerr's bestseller All the Light We Cannot See.

All the Light We Cannot See has now been on The New York Times Hardcover Fiction Bestseller list for 29 weeks and was a finalist for the 2014 National Book Award.
