Add the Words Documentary Comes to North Idaho

Posted By on Tue, Dec 2, 2014 at 9:22 AM

Add the Words, the celebrated documentary being showcased in film festivals around the nation, will make its way to Idaho's Panhandle this coming weekend. Principal photography was filmed earlier this year at the height of the ongoing battle to add the words "sexual orientation" and "gender identity" to the the Idaho Human Rights Act.

Continuing demonstrations in and around the Idaho Statehouse resulted in multiple arrests during the 2014 Idaho Legislature session. And by June, filmmakers Michael Gough and Cammie Pavesic were ready with the first cut of their documentary, screening the film to a sold-out house at Boise's Egyptian Theatre.

KREM-TV reports that the film will be screened this coming Friday, Dec. 5, at Coeur d'Alene's Unity Church and on Saturday, Dec. 6, at the Coeur d'Alene Public Library.
