An Illinois man, wanted in connection with a string of bank robberies in the Chicago area, is cooling his heels in the Canyon County Jail, after Idaho State Police arrested him on Interstate 84 near Nampa, charging him with speeding and careless driving.

ISP stopped the suspect's vehicle on Dec. 22 and quickly learned that the driver was wanted in connection with four armed robberies committed between Nov. 19-Dec. 17 in the suburbs of Chicago.

Kenneth Hunter, 20, of Olympia Fields, Ill., was arraigned in federal court in Boise on Tuesday. Hunter, dubbed the "Mug Shot Bandit" in an FBI press release, awaits extradition to Illinois.
