At 10:45 a.m. Jan. 3, Twitter users across the Treasure Valley started asking each other the same question: "Did anyone just feel that earthquake in Boise?"

The 4.9 magnitude tremor hit four miles away from Challis at 10:44, and could be felt almost 120 miles away in Boise, Garden City and Mountain Home, according to the USGS National Earthquake Information Center

Not all parts of Boise felt the tremor—areas of the Boise Bench and sections of downtown remained still while some sections the east Foothills and deep North End couldn't ignore it.
