Boise Police say witnesses helped them find and identify a Boise man as a suspect in a late night hit-and-run.

Police were summoned to the intersection of Highland Street and Leadville Avenue in the late night hours of March 31. That's where witnesses said they saw a car hit another parked car and drive away. One of the witnesses followed the suspect and told officers where the driver had parked. When police spoke to the driver, they  said the suspect failed field sobriety tests and blew blood alcohol levels of .222 and .220.

41-year-old David Conroy of Boise was booked into the Ada County Jail and charged with felony counts of driving under the influence (a second offense) and probation violation.

Boise Police also report that a suspect is in custody charged in connection with an incident at a local hospital in February. Police said the suspect was a patient at the hospital at the time, but battered a healthcare employee and at one point, put his hands around the victim's neck and pushed the victim to a wall. A warrant was issued for the suspect's arrest and he was taken into custody March 31 by Ada County Sheriff's deputies.

58-year-old Charles Krema of Eagle is charged with a felony count of assault or battery against certain personnel.

Police say another suspect is also charged with assault or battery in connection with a traffic stop on March 30. Boise police were summoned to 26th Street and Ellis Avenue where a driver failed field sobriety tests. But when police tried to detain the suspect, they say he took off on foot and shoved an officer. Ultimately, police said they used a Taser to stop the suspect.

40-year-old Richard Surbeck of Boise was charged with assault or battery upon certain personnel, resisting or obstructing officers, and driving under the influence.
