UPDATE: April 10, 2015

Law enforcement confirmed that citizens tips led them to the discovery of a stolen cabin. The cabin was recently reported missing when a family discovered that a lock on their front gate had been cut and the entire cabin was taken off of its foundation.

KREM-TV reports that someone called the Stevens County (Wash.) Sheriff's Office to say that they saw the cabin rolling past on the back of a trailer.

Ultimately, Sheriff's deputies spotted the cabin on private property on the other side of Springdale, Wash.

"I'm glad they found it and I hope they catch the people that did it and they might think twice about going through Springdale again," said Linda Ritts, who called the tip into law enforcement.

Thieves in the eastern Washington community of Loon Lake made off with a lot more than personal belongings when they broke into a cabin. They took the whole cabin.

KREM-TV reports that the cabin's owners discovered that crooks had cut the lock on a front gate and took the entire cabin off of its foundation. The cabin had been at its location for four years, complete with bunk beds and camping gear.

"They even took the steps and the paving blocks," said owner Moose Hempel. "I had a little deck out hereā€”it's gone too."
