Take Your Glass To Ridley's, Not the Co-Op

Starting today, you should take your glass recyclables to Ridley's on Bogus Basin Road, not to the Co-op.

The City of Boise announced earlier this month that they would be removing the recycling center from the crowded Co-op parking lot.

The Co-op site officially closed, Monday, April 16th, said Public Works environmental programs manager Catherine Chertudi.

“While the Co-op is a convenient location for residents and shoppers, it’s difficult to get equipment in and out and service the containers safely,” Chertudi said. “The interest in recycling glass is growing and we need drop-off locations that have room to grow.”

Other nearby glass recycling locations:

•Albertsons, 1650 W. State St.

•Fire Station #5, 15th and Front

•Old Armory Building, 801 Reserve St. (in front of building)

•Boise State University, NW corner of former University Inn parking lot (off Capitol Blvd.)
