Dwight Johnson has accepted a senior management position with the new Idaho Department of Labor and will be leaving his position as the Executive Director of the State Board of Education, the board announced today.

Johnson will start his new position with Labor on May 21, 2007.

“I am excited about accepting this opportunity with the Department of Labor where I worked for over10 years before coming to the State Board of Education. I will miss my association and work with the Board, but believe this change will be best for me and my family. The last year and a half I served with the Board has been a wonderful experience that I truly enjoyed and learned a great deal,” said Johnson in a prepared statement.
