Radio on Radio

The Citadel Broadcasting/Peak Broadcasting lawsuit that was filed earlier this week is the subject of a thorough, and thoughtful, rundown at the Idaho Radio News blog.

It's hot and heavy stuff, and highlights just how intense the radio competition is in this market.

From the post:

Citadel spins a rich narrative, that alleges Peak CEO Todd Lawley set forth a grand plan to defraud Citadel, and raid many top employees. It’s a fascinating look inside the two radio companies, and their business dealings.

In setting up the story, Citadel notes that “competition in this market is keen,” referring to the Boise metro area radio industry.

The site's previous post on the matter, linking to the Idaho Statesman's story, generated some serious chatter on the comments section.

Coming soon: documents from the suit itself.
