Big Money Search

Posted By on Mon, Jun 18, 2007 at 4:00 AM

The City of Boise is getting serious about finding a new airport director—$30,000 serious.

The City Council will consider a resolution on Tuesday night authorizing the city to pay $30,700 to ADK Consulting, Inc. to conduct an executive search to help fill the top spot at the Boise Airport. The position has been open since former director John Anderson left last August.

Anderson—who resigned suddenly after more than 16 years with the airport—was the city’s highest paid employee, making $114,491 when he left, according to the Mayor’s Office. He is now the general manager of the McCall airport.

The corporate search began earlier this year after the city’s top contender for the job turned it down. See this week’s Boise Weekly for more information.
