Now that all the candidates for Boise city offices have announced his or her intentions, the endorsement processes can begin in earnest.

Conservation Voters for Idaho are out of the gates quickly, officially endorsing the incumbents in each race—Mayor Dave Bieter and Councilmembers Elaine Clegg, Dave Eberle and Alan Shealy.

“The mayor and city council have worked together to increase the amount of park land in the city, they have shown leadership in protecting the Boise River, and have taken steps to address global climate change,” said Lee Flinn, executive director of Conservation Voters for Idaho, in a written release.

“Mayor Bieter and Council members Eberle, Shealy and Clegg have shown leadership in protecting Boise’s clean air, drinking water, and open space. We applaud their efforts to protect the amazing quality of life residents of Boise enjoy,” she said.
