McDowell film and appearance canceled

Posted on Wed, Jan 9, 2008 at 4:00 AM

Just after 35,000 copies of BW hit stands this morning, we received word that the screening of Malcolm McDowell's Never Apologize, scheduled to screen at the Egyptian Theatre Jan. 12 in conjunction with an appearance by McDowell, has been canceled. Stick around Boise long enough, and you learn to roll with the punches when it comes to these things. After all, in 2007, Boise was scratched off the tour lists of dozens of musicians as well as writers Charles Baxter and poet Mary Oliver.

Turn to page 25 in this week's BW, or click here, and read all about what we're missing. Director Michael Kaplan assures us that a screening will take place in the future, so we'll keep you posted.
