This Saturday, it's all B and S

Along with our pals at Embroidered Images, Logjammer IPA, O'Michael's Pub and the fearless renegades at NorthStar Cycle Couriers and in conjunction with our Coldest Beer issue, Boise Weekly joyfully presents our third annual Bars and Stripes alley cat race.
On Saturday, July 5, riders will receive a sealed packet with a list of bars they must visit.
It's no B or S, this Bars and Stripes race kicks ass. - ILLUSTRATION BY NOBLE HARDESTY
Figuring out their own route, they will race from bar to bar, perform tasks, drink beer and try to be the first one across the finish line. It's kind of like a scavenger hunt. But brutal.
It's going to be hot out, but the spirit (and spirits) of competition makes this race one of the most anticipated events Boise Weekly holds each year. And that's no B or S.
Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. sharp at the Boise Weekly offices at 523 Broad St. and is limited to 100 participants. Race begins at 7 p.m. Cost to register is $13 and includes a commemorative T-shirt. Questions? Call Boise Weekly at 208-344-2055.
P.S. Local artist Noble Hardesty created the design for this year's race and will be selling T-shirts with the design featured on our July 2 issue at O'Michael's Pub, the last stop on the race.
