Henry Cho yuks it up for charity

Posted By on Tue, Jun 2, 2009 at 10:25 PM

Henry Cho is a Southern Asian comic. Not a comic from Southern Asia, but a man of Asian descent born and raised in Tennessee. A funny guy whose best material comes from poking fun at his upbringing and his family, he's known for his clean comedy. Cho has had his own Comedy Central special and appeared in a number of feature films and television shows including an episode of "Designing Women" in which he played a airline passenger seated next to fiery Julia Sugarbaker when she and her sister Suzanne take a flight to Japan to visit their mother.

On Monday, June 8, Cho performs at Hijinx Comedy Club in a fundraiser for the Prevention of Domestic Violence. Hijinx's Pat Mac is opening the show.

Tickets are $10, call for reservations. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m. and Mac said they'll have pizza by the slice.
