Design Sponge Does Boise

Posted By on Mon, Aug 3, 2009 at 5:35 PM

Brooklyn-based design blog, Design Sponge, has taken a cue from the New York Times, Sunset Magazine and Diners, Drive-ins and Dives, and has given Le Bois some much-deserved props. Declared by NYT to be “Martha Stewart Living for the Millennials,” Design Sponge offers product reviews, home makeover tips, recipes and trend forecasting in addition to fairly extensive city guides.

The Boise city guide was written by beloved deal-breaker and BSU graphic designer, Jennifer Wood. It details everything from where to shop (Latta, Atomic Treasures, The Basque Market), where to eat and drink (The Modern, Le Café de Paris … Donnie Mac’s?) and where to get sweets and coffee (The Chocolat Bar, Powell’s Sweet Shoppe, The Flying M).

After reading Wood's much more detailed post, make sure to scroll through the comments at the end. It seems Design Sponge readers have some serious hearts shooting out of their eyes for our fair city.
