Vinyl Saturday at Record Exchange

Posted By on Thu, Sep 3, 2009 at 3:12 PM

If you got a little crazy making melted record planters recently, the Record Exchange wants to help you replenish your stock. This Saturday, September 5, they’re offering 20 percent off all used vinyl as a part of Record Store Day’s continuing Vinyl Saturday event.

Similar to Record Store Day last spring, Vinyl Saturday offers a way for indie record stores around the country to sell exclusive releases from an assortment of rad bands. This Saturday, you can pick up a 7” from the recently-in-Boise Avett Brothers, which includes the song “Slight Figure of Speech” from their new album I And Love And You, and the unreleased B-side “More of You.” Other bands with exclusive indie record store releases include: Big Star, Mars Volta and RX Bandits.

Also, don’t forget to swing by the Record Exchange’s side patio near the Neurolux to pick up assorted $.50 vinyl. You know, for the next time you’re feeling crafty.
