Can't Go to Arizona for the Fiesta Bowl? How About Egypt(ian)?

Are you one of those Boise State football fans totally on the defense because you can't afford a trip to the Fiesta Bowl? Are you watching the clock run out as you try to wrangle an invitation to hang out with that friend (acquaintance, coworker, family member) who has the giant flatscreen HDTV? Don't sweat it. Idaho Concerts has the hottest Fiesta Bowl ticket in town.

On Monday, Jan. 4, join a few hundred of your fellow football fans at the Egyptian Theatre to watch Boise State take on Texas Christian University in real time on the huge theater screen ... for free. And since one of the best things about watching football games is scoring righteous food and drink, Tablerock Brewpub and Highlands Hollow score extra points by pouring their frosty microbrews and Tablerock tackles the grub, grilling up burgers, chicken and hotdogs.

While it is free to attend, you do need a ticket, so stop by the Egyptian Theatre any time between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. today through Sunday and get yours (and one for all of your friends since there's no per-person limit on tickets). You can also get tickets at the door on game day, but that's a risky maneuver. They may all be gone by then and you don't want an instant replay loop of "I should have picked up tickets early" playing in your head.

Doors open at 4:30 p.m., kick off is at 6 p.m. The Egyptian is at 700 W. Main St.
