Tasty Shampoo Inspiration

It is Sunday afternoon and I am sent to a “big box retailer who shall not be named but whose logo is a big round dot." I was supposed to pick up a few things for the family. We needed milk, dish soap, deodorant and hair gel. But the most important thing on my list, apparently, was a bottle of my wife’s favorite shampoo.

She loves those fruity concoctions, like mango-eucalyptus-mint, orange-pomegranate-menthol, lavender cherry or vanilla-raspberry. I love that they all claim to keep hair in great condition, keep it from breaking and take five years off your age at the same time.

While shopping, I couldn't help but notice just how delicious those shampoos sounded. My belly even grumbled for a moment. Can you just imagine a mango, eucalyptus and mint chutney on a piece of Copper River Salmon? Or maybe an orange and pomegranate sorbet? Or a little lavender and cherry barbecue sauce? How about a vanilla-raspberry demi-glace on lamb chops? It all sounds divine.

So the next time I am looking for inspiration for a sauce or a side dish, I'm going to walk the shampoo aisle and see what Johnson and Johnson is up to.
