From the congested e-mail inbox of the A&E editor: A Torrent of Tunes

Posted By on Tue, May 11, 2010 at 11:24 AM

My inbox was filled with a random collection of video links this morning. What follows is a sampling, in no particular order:

No. 1: This is a new one from British trio Keane and Somalian rapper K'naan. Keane and K'naan have been working together for a while and hopefully the results of the collaborations aren't all as soft as this one.

No. 2: Viva DeConcini is apparently referred to as the "Guitar Sorceress of the Lower East Side" (according to her own PR). From DeConcini's hotpants, to the jerky camera work, to the burlesque entertainers, these music videos have a kind of unintentional retro vibe that's a little addictive. Plus, she gets points on her name alone.

Nos. 3, 4 and 5: Lastly, New York's RXP 101.9 FM talks to Oasis vocalist Liam Gallagher about his brother Noel, the Beatles, life after Oasis and Liam's new passion: fashion. In three parts.
