Apparently, The '90s Are Making a Comeback in Boise

Posted By on Wed, May 19, 2010 at 10:47 AM

Holy Macarena! Perusing earlier today was like a trip back to the late ‘90s, minus the baby-tees and navel rings. If you miss the days when AOL promo CDs were abundant and “talk to the hand” was a legitimate comeback, don’t go postal and miss the following da’bomb '90s flashback shows:

5.21.10-Barenaked Ladies: Though you don’t need a million dollars to check out this goofy Canadian rock band on Friday, May 21, at Idaho Botanical Garden, be forewarned: Eat too much of the chickity Chinese chicken and your brain might stop tickin'. Or so they claim.

6.21.10-Jewel: The guitar-strumming smoky voiced chanteuse will save your soul at the Idaho Botanical Garden alongside guests Brandi Carlile and Radney Foster on Monday, June 21.

7.14.10-Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival featuring Korn and many, many others: Yikes. There’s not much to say about this show besides it’s been difficult to look at pair of ADIDAS sneakers or a backwards "R" without wincing since around 1997. Thanks a lot, Korn. At the Idaho Center Amphitheater.

9.28.10-Hanson: Mmmmm, are we serious about this? You’d better bop-lieve it. Catch grown-up Zachary, Taylor and Isaac at the Knitting Factory with A Rocket to the Moon on Tuesday, September 28.
