Ever since I purchased an eBook online from Barnes & Noble, I've felt a little guilty. I detest the thought of contributing to the demise of traditional paper-and-ink lit, but having an entire novel on my Blackberry is such a wonderful convenience. It's the book that I can take anywhere, and the book that I always have with me when I need a diversion, because I take my Blackberry everywhere.

I'm embarrassed to admit that because of that purchase, Barnes & Noble decided I was a loyal lover of books, and they started sending me spam-like emails almost daily, offering me discounts and deals on their products. Perhaps they shouldn't have been cluttering my inbox with special offers, but instead encouraging me to buy books at full price—according to the Wall Street Journal, Barnes & Noble is now for sale. Check out this link. Someone's going to get a good deal on that.
