Happy Face, Sad Face, Jaw-Dropped Face

RevoltRevolt has the same initials as Reading Rainbow. Coincidence? Probably.

I'm sometimes pleasantly surprised, sometimes annoyed and, on the rare occasion, sometimes shocked by what I find when I open my e-mail inbox each morning. Case(s) in point:

The Pleasant Surprise: A note from RevoltRevolt's Chris Bock to say that they are heading out in September for a 50-stop tour, 43 of which will be with Built To Spill. And a promise that RevoltRevolt will keep us updated on Tour Mode. They'll kick off their tour on Saturday, Sept. 11 at Neurolux.

The Annoyance: Mr. J. Bunan asking me if I would be so kind as to accept $15 million dollars left behind by the late Mr. Joseph Davies Ryan, who neglected to name a beneficiary before his passing. I e-mailed Mr. Bunan all of my account information but haven't heard anything back. Hmmm ...

The Bombshell: An e-mail from Allen Ireland announcing that The Head Cat is playing Neurolux on Tuesday, Sept. 21. The Head Cat is Motorhead's Lenny Kilmister (on vocals, of course), Danny B. Harvey of The Rock Cats and The Stray Cats' Slim Jim Phantom. Local band Demoni opens, the show is at 8 p.m. and tickets are $18 in advance through Ticketweb and at The Record Exchange or $20 at the door.

Can't wait to see what's in my e-mail tomorrow.
