Randy King Cooks a Rabbit

Posted By on Tue, Oct 5, 2010 at 10:14 AM

With hunting season underway, I find that many people are afraid to cook what they harvest. As a chef and hunter, I am going to provide a few tips and techniques to make sure that the game you worked hard for is as tasty as possible. Hopefully this will be the beginning of a series of videos demonstrating how easy it can be to cook wild game.

For this video, my brother was nice enough to shoot a jack rabbit for me while out bow hunting for deer in the Owyhee Mountains. I gathered some other high-desert ingredients to cook a nice rabbit stew. Check out the video for cooking tips and a great view of Idaho's mountains.

Randy King is a local chef and thinks that hunting wild game is the best way to be a locavore. Click to follow Randy on Facebook.
