On Monday, Nov. 8, SESAC—arguably the smallest of the United States' three performing rights organizations (BMI and ASCAP are the other two)—will celebrate its country and Americana music songwriters/publishers at the SESAC Nashville Music Awards.

This is the only awards event in which a PRO honors Americana music, but it is invitation only and only a small crowd of about 400 people are expected to attend.

I guess we won't see Joan and Melissa Rivers standing on the red carpet dishing on anybody's dresses at this one.
