Get Up Kids Coming to Boise

It’s a red-letter day for all late-'90s loners and rebels. Second-wave emo pioneers The Get Up Kids have announced that they’ll be playing the Knitting Factory on Thursday, Feb. 3, 2011.

A decade after the release of their seminal LP, 1999'sSomething to Write Home About, the Kansas City, MO. fivesome headed back into the studio to record their fifth full-length album, There Are Rules, with longtime producer Ed Rose. According to the band’s Myspace, the album is slated be released on Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2011.

The show goes on sale next Thursday, Nov. 18 at 11 a.m. Tickets are $17 in advance, $20 day of and $35 for platinum skybox seats, and are available at the Record Exchange, by calling 877-435-9849 or at ticketfly.com or knittingfactory.com.
