A Comedy Festival in Boise? No Joke.

Posted By on Mon, Nov 29, 2010 at 12:32 PM

Though it's still a few months out, it appears ambitious local promoters Sarah Shamblin and Daniel Foster have locked dates and locations for Boise's first ever—and intended to be annual—comedy festival.

The four-day festival will be held May 12-15 and feature performances by national and touring comics at venues across the city.

Shamblin has previously produced events like Boise's Best Bad Dancer and Foster promotes local comedy acts like The Not Too Late Show, which is a monthly event at Liquid. They are also the team responsible for bringing New York based comic poet Derrick Brown to Boise sometime in early 2011.

Updates on comics as they are booked will be posted on the festival's Facebook and Twitter accounts.
