Skiing Even Closer to Home

La Nina is proving herself alive and well in the Treasure Valley. December just began, and we've already been skiing at Bogus Basin for a week. As is the routine at this time of year the Idaho Nordic Ski Club has officially ended its Wednesday evening "dryland" training sessions, preferring to do their workouts on snow from now on.

The crazy news today is that instead of having their sweat session up at Bogus, there's enough snow on the ground here in the valley for them to host the house of pain at the Simplot Sports Complex in southeast Boise. Who cares if the Nordies need to re-wax their skis with Toko yellow wax (best for warmer temperatures)? It's worth it to save time and gasoline by keeping the sport as local as possible.
