Need Something To Do Tuesday?

Posted By on Tue, Mar 1, 2011 at 12:28 PM

For some, Christmas is a day to look forward to. Others can’t wait for an excuse to bare their “souls” to the world on Fat Tuesday. Recently we celebrated a day dedicated to a rodent and its shadow (Groundhog Day, duh).

But today …

Today is one you might want to pay close attention to because it happens to be National Pancake Day.

Visit any International House of Pancakes restaurant today and get a short stack of buttermilk pancakes FREE. No strings attached, nothing else to purchase, no questions asked.

But there is an opportunity to pay the good deed forward. The folks at IHOP are accepting donations for the Children’s Miracle Network and other local charities. The restaurant instituted National Pancake Day in 2006 and has raised $5.35 million dollars for the CMN during the last five years. This year the goal is $2.3 million.

Even if you missed breakfast, you still have time to get in on the action. Short stacks will be served from 7 a.m. until 10 p.m. tonight at all of the local locations.
